Welcome to Marketing the Media Center!
You can use this as a place to share and exchange ideas on how to market your library media center so that you can learn from each other and not re-invent the wheel! It was started as a collaborative work space during an AASL 2009 concurrent session. If you would like to edit the workspace, you can request access, but first you will need to sign up for a pbworks account if you don't already have one. Go to www.pbworks.com to sign up.

Click here to contribute Marketing Ideas-Remember that marketing is “finding out what the customer needs: ‘who are you, and what do you need, how, where and when can we best deliver it to you-and what are you willing to pay?” (Haycock & Cavill, 1999)
Click here to contribute Advocacy Ideas-Remember that advocacy is "“building support and awareness incrementally over time and connecting agendas and priorities: ‘your agenda will be assisted by what we have to offer . . .” (Haycock & Cavill, 1999)
